Lee is passionate about using design to enhance innovation activities within large multinational corporations. He has over ten years of experience working inside the design studios of GE Appliances, 3M Design Lab, and Electrolux Group Design. He holds patents for products from a wide range of industries, including consumer products, electronics, energy, home appliances, and innovative material science solutions and processes.

Lee often speaks and writes about the power of design in innovation, as well as about the importance of using stimuli and provoking responses during the research and design phases of innovation. His work was published in a book by Jeanne Liedtka titled Solving Problems with Design Thinking: Ten Stories of What Works (Columbia University Press).

He received a Master of Fine Arts in Industrial Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Campbell University. He lives with his wife Julia who is also a Designer and their two children in Charlotte, North Carolina.
